With my shop located along the migratory flight path toward Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge, birds are a natural focus in my work. I carve ravens, owls, eagles, egrets, swallows, and more. I’ve also created walking sticks, humidors, and ornate boxes. Depending on the piece, I may begin with CNC shaping and then refine everything by hand. Over the years, I’ve gathered a wide range of carving woods, including Osage orange, sugar pine, holly, English boxwood, and domestic hardwoods such as cherry, walnut, and figured maple.
